There are many websites that provide great information about leatherback sea turtles.  Rather than recreate this information here, we decided to provide links to some of these great sites, along with comments about them:

Las Baulas Conservation Project   This project, based at the Las Baulas National Park, has been studying and protecting leatherbacks on these beaches for over 10 years.  This is the best site to learn more about the local leatherbacks.

Pacific leatherback ocean migration pathways  The Pacific Pelagics Program is tracking ocean animals via satellite as they migrate throughout the Pacific. Check out the migratory pathways of several Pacific leatherbacks as they undertake amazing journeys after nesting on Playa Grande.    

Leatherback Red List Info  The World Conservation Union assesses the status of animals worldwide. This site provides a lot of general information about the status of and threats to leatherbacks as well as justification for why it is endangered with extinction.
